I hope you all had a great weekend and were able to enjoy a little R & R! I feel like Mondays are always hard, especially in the winter months. It is particularly hard to get back to reality and work after having the weekend off to spend with your friends and family. Hopefully you all enjoyed a night out at your favorite restaurant, had a few cocktails at your local watering hole or just did whatever you felt like doing with your free time!
Nancy and I made some time to do a little work, shopped the shows for some new digs for Covet Shop (more on that at a later date) and enjoyed some QT together. It is so cold in New York City right now that there has to be something really special going on or something fabulous to attend to get myself and most of my friends out of our apartments!! Tonight in Manhattan it is 30 degrees, but according to weather.com it feels like 23 and the forecast is showing more snow on the way!
However, there is nothing like New York City in the winter. The city still comes to life and is simply enchanting in the winter months, even if it is cold. Most of the holiday decorations have been left up and there is still that sense on any given day or night, anything is possible…
Everyday, I make it a point to walk home from work, up Madison Avenue, specifically to check out the magnificent window displays. Many shops are switching over their windows from the their holiday displays as we speak. I know that while it can be sad that the holidays are over, fresh windows full of new baubles, shoes, bags and clothes give the fashion addicted, like myself, something new and fabulous to Covet…
I took a few snaps to share with you some of the new and fun windows I spotted tonight as I walked up Manhattan’s storied Madison Avenue. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did!
